Today is official practice day for the Oklahoma high school fishing state championship down on Lake Eufaula! Tournament days will be Saturday and Sunday, it will be a combined weight from both days, this weekend several teams will be going after being crowned the state champion of OKHSF with some national berth spots up for grabs, you can watch both days weigh in live at the event at Eufaula cove, Eufaula Oklahoma or by going over to Oklahoma High school fishing page https://www.facebook.com/share/1LWD6qhPAm/?mibextid=wwXIfr, weigh in begins at 2pm both days

** MUST BE A CUSHING STUDENT**

I will be looking for 1 high school angler “going into 9th-12th grade” this upcoming year. Must be dedicated to fishing the whole season, up to 2-4 tournaments in the fall and 4-6 tournaments in the spring, if selected to the team you are responsible for your part of fees. Anywhere from 100-300$ per tourney (pending sponsorship). If I have multiple kids I plan on doing a tryout, tryout will be completely free, just gonna test your skills for a few hours, it will be for June 13th on my boat at keystone lake

B.A.S.S State championship is a wrap for the Cushing fishing teams

Caden Clinton & Cooper Johnson finished in 3rd place with a 2 day total of 24.34lbs

Boone Niccum & Maddox Morris finished in 12th place with a 2 day total of 19.07lbs

Kenny Flatt and Colton Cross had a tough weekend and didn’t get any fish

It’s State Championship weekend!!!
Berth to the national championship is on the line, the Cushing Tigers fishing team will be headed to lake Tenkiller this weekend in hopes of punching a ticket to the national championship, 2 day accumulative weight, must get 1st place 🏆 to punch that ticket! Let’s get it boys!

We are please to announce the upcoming graduation of Caden Clinton, Caden has been an integral part of the Cushing fishing program since joining as a 10th grader. Through perseverance and hard work, he transformed initial struggles into success, becoming a top contender in the state by his junior year. Now in his senior year his team finished 3rd place in the BASS angler of the year race. Caden will represent the team at the BASS state championship on Tenkiller lake and conclude his high school career at the OKHSF state championship on Eufaula lake. His notable achievements include a 1st place finish at the OKHSF tournament on Texoma lake, numerous top 10 finishes, and big bass awards. We extend our gratitude to Caden for his commitment and dedication, wishing him all the best for his future pursuits. 🐅🎣

We are pleased to announce the upcoming graduation of Cooper Johnson, a distinguished member of the Mannford Pirates fishing team. Cooper's remarkable fishing career began with the team and his talent was evident from the start. By the end of his freshman year, his team had secured the BASS state championship title, earning him a scholarship to fish for Murray State in Ardmore, Oklahoma. After competing for the Mannford Pirates for three years, Cooper made the decision to join the Cushing Tiger’s fishing team for his senior year. Now, in the twilight of his high school career, Cooper's team has finished 3rd overall in the BASS Angler of the Year race. The team will compete in the BASS state tournament at Tenkiller Lake this weekend, followed by the OKHSF state championship on Eufaula Lake later this month. Throughout his career, Cooper Johnson has accumulated impressive statistics, including two first-place finishes: one at Tenkiller Lake during his freshman year and another at Ft. Gibson Lake during his junior year. He has also secured several top-ten finishes and big bass awards. We congratulate Cooper on his achievements and wish him continued success in his future endeavors. 🐅🎣

This weekend promises to be an exciting one for Cusing fishing teams. On Saturday, Caden Clinton and Cooper Johnson will compete along side Kenny Flatt and Colton Cross at Grand Lake
BASS tournament, where windy conditions are expected. The following day, teams will gather at Eufaula for the Oklahoma High School Fishing SAF southern trail. Participating teams include Caden Clinton and Cooper Johnson, Maddox Morris and Boone Niccum, DaVaughn Hagler and Gabriel Koeberle, as well as junior high team Brayden Church and Keagan Worthy. Despite the chilly start, Sunday's event is anticipated to be a fun-filled day. We wish all participating teams the best of luck.
