Honey Swap! We listened to comments and we made a change! For 2026 we will be using smaller 2oz containers so its truly just a sampling of fellow beekeepers honey. Bring up to 10 with you and get a ticket so Saturday at lunch you can pick the same amount you brought in to trade. Must be honey from you own hive an have labels that follow state label laws.

Mr. John Grafton & Mrs. Laurie Kehres will be our judges at this years OSBA Fall Conference. The honey judging contest classes: extracted honey (light, medium, dark), cut comb, creamed honey (plain, flavored), wax, and honey cookies/bars. Please download and read all the rules for each entry. We will also be having a honey judging class on the 4th track of the conference, so you may ask questions about entries. If you would like to become an OSBA Honey Judge, there will be information at the conference to sign up.

Beginning Beekeeper Certificate

This program will run concurrently with the OSBA Fall Conference (Saturday, October 24). You must attend all classes to receive the certificate.

The Ohio State Beekeepers Association (OSBA) is offering a Beginning Beekeepers Certification class designed to educate participants on beekeeping basics, seasonal management, pests and parasites, record-keeping, and a wrap-up Q&A session. The program emphasizes a science-based understanding of honey bee needs and practical applications to support healthy beekeeping in your apiary.

Participants gain knowledge of honey bees, colony requirements, and strategies for expanding healthy colonies throughout their apiaries.

Maumee Valley Beekeepers Club will be meeting at CRB’S in Custar Tuesday the 18th.
The Bee Barn will be open for shopping (pre-orders would be appreciated)
