We are excited to share we are one of the four recipients of this year’s Downtown Initiative Grant provided by the Cynthiana-Harrison County Tourism Commission!

A big THANK YOU to the commission and its selection committee for awarding us this grant!

Big changes are coming to 208 South Main Street, and those changes begin this weekend!

The Cynthiana-Harrison County Tourism Commission continues its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs, revitalizing spaces, and preserving historic buildings through the Downtown Improvement Grant (DIG) Program.

The DIG program is a highly competitive program that encourages and assists investment in our historic downtown. Building on the Cynthiana Main Street Program’s prior grants and revitalization efforts, the DIG Program is the flagship of the Tourism Commission's strategy to attract investment, support entrepreneurship, encourage property improvements, and strengthen the downtown district.

Each year, the Tourism Commission commits $15,000 to the DIG Program; this year, for the first time, we increased our individual grant investment to $5,000 to provide three grants to support downtown revitalization.

The increased funding threshold attracted more applicants than usual. The number of strong applications led us to reach out to the Harrison County Community Fund for assistance. Thanks to a special one-time partnership investment of an additional $5,000, this cycle of the program was expanded to include a fourth recipient, bringing the total matching funds investment in downtown to $20,000.

The projects we are supporting this year will help with HVAC installation, roof repair, facade and signage improvements, and the creation of a second-floor short-term rental.

❤️ We are incredibly grateful to the Harrison County Community Fund for partnering with us to maximize this year's program. These projects are more than building improvements; they are investments in the future of downtown Cynthiana. Every restored storefront, improved façade, and preserved historic building helps create a downtown that residents are proud of, and visitors want to explore.

It’s been a busy spring and summer over here!

We are so thankful for all the customers keeping us busy at our shop. If you are not already, we’d love for you to give us a follow on our Flower Depot page.

We are also thankful for all the brides and event producers that have allowed us to create for them in the past. Their support and trust in us has allowed for the opportunity to chase the dream of having a storefront. To each of you, THANK YOU!

Here are a few photos from a beautiful wedding last month at Mustard Seed Hill. Simplistic white and pink roses and peonies, paired with baby’s breath, creating statement floral arrangements that helped bring the brides Bridgerton vision to life.

We had the pleasure to be part of the vendor team that helped bring Harrison County High Schools 2026 prom to life.

The theme, Emerald Dreams, was inspired by the Emerald City of Wicked and The Wizard of Oz. We chose classic green vibes with a touch of white, exuding classic elegance.

Can we brag a little about those floral urns and arch pieces? The colors. The esthetic. The vibe. We are slightly obsessed!

And how about the entryway installs with a mix of faux and real florals, with large arches and gear pieces! A statement as each guest entered the venue.

Thank you to Mustard Seed Hill for inviting us in to help bring this vision to life!

Tomorrow is the day! The store front will be open for shoppers!

Thank you for bearing with us the past couple of days as we were closed in order to get ourselves organized, familiarized with this new space/venture, and a chance to freshen up the space a bit.

This work will continue, so we ask for your grace and understanding.

Hey there!
We are looking forward to welcoming you inside the shop very soon!

To allow us to implement a new point of sale system and get our feet under us, the storefront will be closed Monday through Wednesday of this week.

We will still be taking orders for fresh flowers by phone and through our website.

We can’t wait to welcome you in on Thursday!

In case you missed it!
We are purchasing the beloved Flower Depot in our hometown of Cynthiana!

This has been a dream of ours for many years, and this was the perfect opportunity to take the next step for our small business.

We are humbled that Stephanie has entrusted us to continue the incredible business she has built over the last 19 years. She has created a welcoming environment filled with beautiful home and seasonal decor, gifts, and of course, fresh floral arrangements for all of life’s events. All of these services will remain at 208 South Main.

We are excited to bring in our style and build upon the shop’s 19 years of success.

We will take over in mid-April and hope you will stop by and visit us!
