Dear friends and all those that are still following…What have I been up to in the last two years since I closed my storefront in downtown Dade City? My focus has always been my Faith, Home and Family. A lot of that has changed as I have one that has graduated college and one about to graduate college and one that is entering middle school. It is time to say goodbye to my home that has kept us safe for almost 2O years. It’s been a wonderful home and I hope that it brings much joy and happiness to the new homeowners. I named my store after this house as when we we purchased the home it was called “The Magnolia Home”! We have since removed the old plaque and removed the beautiful magnolia tree that once protected this home. I am lovingly moving on from the name “The Dade City Magnolia House” to “Virginia Avenue Home”! Our home is the last house on Virginia Avenue and my Grandmother’s name was Virginia. I truly felt she lead us to this home and I wish I had more time with my Grandmother and in the home. We have done so much to the house through the years. All the memories created and the love poured into it! I will always have a Grandma Core Style that will always remain Vintage, Farmhouse, Cottage Style, mixed with Craftsman and Repurposed Home Decor and I will never say no to a paintbrush or refinishing a piece of furniture. This style has built me for over 30 years and it will NEVER go out of style. Those that know, know. I hope you have time to visit the house and send it to anyone that you know that may be on the market for a true Colonial beauty in Dade City. In the meantime, keep following “Virginia Avenue Home” on all the socials. I have a new website launching soon. I’m not sure the next steps but I have such a passion for Design that I look forward to this fresh start and a new beginning. Much love to all that have stayed faithful and patient. 🩷
