Maybe moving forward isn’t about becoming stronger. Maybe it’s about putting something down.
You can’t keep walking through life with a backpack full of stones you were never meant to carry forever.
We all collect them.
The regrets. The mistakes. The wrongs done to us, and the wrongs we’ve done. The hurt, the anger, the guilt, the “I wish that had gone differently.”
And look, some of those stones taught you something real. They gave you wisdom you didn’t have before. They’re part of who you are now.
But you don’t have to keep carrying the regret to remember the lesson. You don’t have to keep carrying the hurt to remember what it taught you.
If you want to move forward, you have to know which stones to set down. Not the lessons. Not the way it shaped you. But what’s weighing you down.
Because you’ve still got a long way to go.
So take the wisdom. Take the growth. Take the person you became because you lived through it. Just leave the weight behind.
Some things were meant to teach you, not travel with you. Learn from them. Leave them behind. There’s still so much road ahead.
