Sewing, dashing, thrifting, laughing through the pain

With my first craft fair of the Fall quickly approaching usually crunch time. Unfortunately I still have to dash, but that doesn't mean cause my dash and hunt for thrift stores the things to make and or for my booth.

Somehow I managed to pull a muscle while pulling weeds the other day. I stayed home and sewed all day yesterday and rested. Today I am out dashing but my mind and my body would much rather be sewing there's always something, right?

New day new upcycling project underway

This one is a combination of black stretchy sueded pants in a Size Medium, paired with this amazing winter tree forest sweater. I am so stoked I found this sweater at the thrift store. This is going to be so cool.

Finally sat down and made a pair of arm warmers. The serger was the biggest challenge, but I got it. More to come. I'll have these at the craft fair just in time for sweater weather.

Y'all! I made pants❣️

Mad props to everyone who has already made something similar. If you think this is easy, it's not. If you think you could do this in a day, you most likely won't. At least that's the case for the first pair.

But I am so stinkin proud with how they turned out. Yup, will definitely be making more... And I'll definitely be creating a pattern for next time.

These are a size 8 with a 30 1/2" inseam. If you're in my next of the woods I'll have these with me at my craft fair in Odessa Sept 26. (I do have a dressing booth also😀)

New day, new project. While straightening up my sewing room I chose the pieces I want to use for my next sweater skirt.

This one will be a size 8, with a combination of the twill pants, corduroy scraps, a flannel shirt, a T-shirt, and two sweaters.

If this were your project what would you do with it? I'll be brainstorming ideas today while I'm on the road dashing, so tonight I can get to work😀✂️🪡

I'm calling this one done

Upcycled sweater skirt in a size 16 corduroy waistband. Combination of one pair of corduroys, four sweaters, and a long sleeve t-shirt.

I have three craft fairs coming up. The first one is September 26th in Odessa, the second is October 3rd in Long Neck, and the third is November 7th in Selbyville.
