Proud homestead moment!!
After losing our entire flock not once but twice to stray dogs, the third time's the charm! We relocated our coop and purchased older hens (2 of which we've come to realize are roosters...). Now we have our very 1st egg!

Cleaned up our hive over the weekend and had to remove some honeycomb that wasn't in a good spot. Good news for us was we were able to salvage a small sampling of honey. Delicious! Especially slathered on some warm homemade cornbread.
