Ready for a summer getaway but not quite up for a full-fledged road trip? Come spend the day at the Dallas Farmers Market, where there’s always something fun happening! 🤗
Join Terri from L.A. Farmgirl at noon for a Blueberry Merlot Jam Demo. Learn about the jam-making process, ask questions, and enjoy free samples! Terri will also be leading a jam-making class on June 11 at DFM—and there’s only one spot left!

Tomorrow learn how to make blueberry season last even longer with L.A. Farm Girl and her Blueberry Merlot Jam Demo at noon in The Shed. 🫐

If you want a more hands-on experience, join L.A. Farm Girl for a beginner-friendly jam-making class on June 11 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Dallas Farmers Market. You’ll learn the process from start to finish and make your own jar to take home. Head to The Shed this weekend! 🤠 Welcome to the exciting start of summer abundance! We here at the Dallas Farmers Market are a bit giddy as the first Texas watermelons of the year have officially arrived, juicy, sweet, and ready to slice. Kelley Produce is stocked with Orange Seeded and Red Seedless watermelons, with more varieties on the way. The first peaches of the summer are also here, and blackberries and cantaloupes are expected to make their debut in early June. Now is the time to make weekly visits to the DFM part of your permanent summer plans.

This weekend, get the family excited about outdoor adventures with our Kids’ Activity DIY Picnic Baskets from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Window to the Wild sharing their feathered friends from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., both Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday, May 31, learn how to make blueberry season last even longer with L.A. Farm Girl and her Blueberry Merlot Jam Demo at noon in The Shed.

It’s a time of remembrance that also marks the unofficial start of summer, with longer days inviting us outdoors to gather with family and friends. From backyard barbecues to picnic blankets and easygoing afternoons, this holiday weekend is all about coming together. Happy National Barbecue Day from the Dallas Farmers Market! Today is the perfect day to try the best BBQ Texas has to offer. We are with Uncle Marc, who makes homemade Barbecue seasonings, rubs, and sauces. Uncle Marc is hosting a Barbecue demo and sampling with his blends today at 12pm on the pellet grill, and tomorrow he will demo using a Blackstone at 12pm. Celebrate Texas style with us today 🐮🐔🐷

Barbecue sauces, seasonings, and rubs trace back to Caribbean and African influences, but it was when they arrived on Texas shores that those flavors really got cooking, layered with cumin and chili powder inspired by Mexican and Latin traditions, and crafted to enhance smoked meats rather than overpower them.
