This high-tech ceramic is extremely hard and resistant to environmental effects. It is equipped with the helium escape valve, patented in 1967, that protects the watch during a diver’s decompression phase. Subsequently improved in close partnership with Comex (Compagnie Maritime d’Expertises) professionals, it is now waterproof to 1,220 metres (4,000 feet). The Triplock winding crown – fitted with a triple waterproofness system and protected by a crown guard – screws down securely against the hermetic Oyster case, providing increased water resistance.
