Quick review slideshow of the Capita Spring Break Resort Twin for 2027.

This is one I had in my own quiver for a while and it really did everything I needed it to. I'd say the only real drawback was that its not the dampest board, so it had its limits if I really tried to go fast with it on choppy conditions. Otherwise, it's one of the best options for anyone who calls a smaller resort their home mountain (like I do.) It's equally at great at riding in the park as it is on groomers. Full review is below.

Just updated our review of the Gilson Bounty Hunter in the new flat based version. This deck is for the resort rider who loves to carve and wants a cruisy, surfy feeling board that they can charge their local resort with. This board has an explosive boost of pop, so if you like to hit jumps and side hits, it's got you for that side too. Who is ready to ride already!? Ive been working on the Board of the World snowboard app and here is the first feature to unveil. Summary of the new Union NEO bindings review. After 6 years of trying every Union binding, this one matches what I like in a binding the best. It's light, damp, incredibly comfortable, has response, and it's still freestyle friendly.

I put it through resort laps, carving, and a few park sessions and the comfort is on another level. It's 1.94 lbs per medium, about 5% lighter than average, and the dual-density bushing system with rubber heel support and EVA foam toe cushioning soaks up everything the East Coast throws at it. The carbon-injected highback gives you real power for carving without feeling stiff or harsh underfoot.

It's not perfect. At $379.95 you're paying $80-100 above the category average, and $30 more than the Union Force. Forward lean is limited to two stages, and the mini disc setup gives up a little responsiveness compared to a full disc if you're a high-speed carving specialist.

For everyone else, this is a damp, comfortable, do-it-all binding that holds up whether you're carving groomers or hitting the park.

Quick review of the Nidecker Tape Deck snowboard for 2027. This deck replaced the Nidecker Sensor Team in the line.

I got to ride it early at Big Snow in NJ where I tested how well it carves, jibs, and jumps. My overall take is that it rides better than you'd expect a deck for $530 to ride. It's an all mountain freestyle true twin with a raditional camber profile, a flex that feels like 6.5/10 both torsionally and longitudinally, and its got carbon stringers that run from the bindings through both tips. The main highlights are that its got an extra boost of pop, and it feels damper / absorbs shock better than a camber twin deck tends to.

I wouldn't say its a dedicated jib board. Those carbon tips fight you on presses and butters, so if rails and boxes are your main thing, there are softer boards built specifically for that.

The Board of the World: Snowboard app is officially live today on the Apple App Store and Google Play. This is meant to be the snowboarders digital toolkit and help us make damn sure the reviews people read online about gear come from a consistent method of people actually riding the boards (and not an ai's hallucinations). I’ve skated Spitfire Formula Fours for years without any issues. The wheels just work as they are meant to. But after 30 days on the OJ Hardline Elite, I might not go back.

These are wheels are between $18 - 24 less than Formula Fours.

Are they actually better, or just cheaper, though? That is the real question.

I broke down the speed, the flat-spot resistance, and the one trick where they actually struggle compared to Spitfires.
