We purchased the gun shop in 1972 from the McClelland family and retained the name because of McClelland's solid reputation. You might not need a length of pull *this* long — 16.5" with 7.5 spacers and a 1" Pachmayr decelerator for A SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BOY who shoots competitively — but we're here to getcha going no matter how wide your wingspan is. And don't worry... Chris will grind the pad down to fit flush to the width of the stock!

On the whole silencer brouhaha that came down yesterday:

"We're awaiting guidance" per our local, federal ATF agent.

Which means, to us who were not specifically involved in the lawsuit, business as usual. Hope that answers more questions than it creates!

The name Eli Whitney ring a bell? The cotton gin guy? He passed on the invention genes to his son, Eli Jr., the designer of this 19th century .36 cal Navy revolver we restored for a client.

Ron spent many, many hours polishing the rusted/pitted metal both on the wheel and by hand to get it to the white. He reblued the barrel, cylinder, and frame (which turned plum!). The ejector rod housing and hammer were freshly case colored, complementing the plum receiver nicely. The brass trigger guard also received a good scrubbing. Our woodsmith finally refinished the grips with a fresh oil finish while keeping the carved initials on the right hand grip per request. Enjoy the before and after, y'all!

Here's a pre-season PSA to check your wood before you hit the field!

After enduring the recoil of thousands of rounds, vintage shotguns — and sometimes new ones — suffer from split forends and stocks. Our wood repair gents epoxy (or pin in certain circumstances) the cracks to prevent future damage. Most likely culprits we see are the Browning A5 and Re*****on 1100 shotguns. Go check your wood y'all!

We stripped the Magpul polymer furniture off this Re*****on 870 shorty and replaced it with a vintage wood stock/forend set we refinished with a deeper walnut color. We've seen the vintage look replacing the modern polymer more and more lately. Ya love to see it!

Gather 'round and ogle this C**t/Sauer Grade III 7mm Rem Mag! It came to us with a finicky trigger that would bind up when put on safe. Then, it wouldn't release when the safety was disengaged. Ron disassembled the trigger assembly and corrected the adjustments to bring it back to factory tolerances. He also adjusted the safety spring to fix the binding issue. Reinstalled it back into the rifle and bam! Good as new.

**The C**t Sauers were commissioned by C**t from Germany's Sauer & Sohn manufacturers from 1971-85. They were considered top-of-the-line at the time and remain highly sought after today. This particular Grade III model has so many stunning tactile features, it's like a Van Gogh painting (a Van Gungh? 🤭). The engraved oak leaves with stippling and the peaks/valleys of the 18-LPI checkering on the Turkish walnut stock — it's a work of art!

We're happy to report the humpbacks have begun their annual migration to our Service Shop to get prepped for dove season!

This lil guy, a Browning A5 Magnum 20 gauge, needed a bit of a tune up. Chris cleaned, l**ed (like, **really** l**ed it), removed rust, polished all the whites, and honed the mag tube and chamber. He replaced the failing recoil spring and friction piece, spring, and ring. After a final test fire, it's ready to be released back into the wild! 🙌

This 1954 H&R M1 Garand might be the cleanest-looking Garand we've ever seen!

Our talented woodsmith Ronnie refinished the stock to make it look like it just came off the factory line (maybe even nicer). We also replaced the recoil spring, which is a typical bit of maintenance for this rifle, while it was torn apart for a rigorous clean & l**e. A final test fire, inspection, and this septuagenarian's out the door!

Danny's build journey took him from a shapeless Turkish walnut blank all the way to bagging a cape buffalo in Africa!

He started the process by purchasing a Turkish walnut blank from our shop. We shipped the blank up to the wood maestros at Wenig's to shape the stock for a pre-64 Wi******er 70 404 Jeffrey platform. Once the stock arrived back, Danny took over from there. He fit the stock, inlet it to the Win 70 action, installed the pad and forend tip, and gave it a final refinish. Helluva job well done Danny!

Finally, he hopped on a plane to Africa and to get the cape buffalo he'd long dreamed of bagging. Dreams do come true y'all! 🙌
