Tommy was Tim’s guest, thanks to a birthday gift certificate from Tim’s daughter and son-in-law. Both Tommy and Tim grew up fishing this river, so they already had a game plan. Even Tommy commented that he couldn’t remember the Susquehanna ever being so clear, with visibility reaching 8 feet deep. Of course all fish were caught with a Bigdady Rods and tackle from F & S Tackle 2

Today, I had the pleasure of spending the day on the river with two newcomers, John and his son Aiden. They never gave up, and their persistence paid off with some beautiful fish. The highlight of the day was John catching a 27-inch musky! We also spotted a “native” Pennsylvania pheasant along the shoreline. Thank you Bigdady Rods F & S Tackle 2 for making their first trip a success!

On this cold and windy day, I had the pleasure of spending the day watching Kevin and Andy put some nice smallmouth in the boat! The topwater bite died off quickly, but these two seasoned anglers adapted fast and figured out a different pattern that produced fish for the rest of the day. The brotherly competition was fierce today as Jim and Barry battled it out to see who would be the first to reach 50 fish! After 6 hours on the river we caught 140 fish, both brothers reached their goal and proudly earned their 50 Fish Pin! Thats wraps up the 2026 family reunion. Safe travels home, everyone.

Today’s total was 362 fish in the boat! We added my brother Wayne to the mix, along with a great shore lunch to break up the day a little bit. Everyone on the boat earned their 50-fish badge today, and Jack finished the day with an incredible 104 fish! 🎣 That’s quite an accomplishment and a day to remember. Mike and Mike Jr. came up from the Garden State and absolutely crushed it this morning, putting 103 fish in the boat!
Mike Jr. stole the show, not only catching the most fish, but also landing the biggest of the day—a beautiful 18¼” smallie on the very first cast! Talk about starting the day off right! Mike Jr earned his 50 Pin today but I forgot to give it to him. It will be in the mail on Monday morning.
If you haven’t been on the river in October I still have a few days left.
