Yesterday, Cipher Comics had the opportunity to be part of Lucha Libros at Pharr Memorial Library! 📚🤼

It was a great afternoon of sharing stories, meeting new readers, and talking with some of the people who stopped by to discover our graphic novels and the worlds we're building at Cipher Comics.

A big thank you to Pharr Memorial Library for the invitation and for creating a space where books, comics, lucha libre, and our local community can come together.

And thank you to everyone who stopped by, picked up a book, shared a conversation, or simply took the time to learn more about our stories.

Every card in the Ghost-Chaser Tarot is inspired by The Night of the Ghost-Chaser, our original graphic novel that blends lucha libre, horror, and action into one supernatural adventure.
These aren't traditional tarot cards.
Each Major Arcana has been reimagined to reflect Dante's journey—his fears, failures, redemption, and the monsters that haunt him, both real and imagined.

🃏 Ghost-Chaser Tarot | Arcana XIII — Death

Death is one of the most misunderstood cards in the Tarot.

It doesn’t represent the end of life—it represents transformation, the courage to let go of the past, and the difficult journey toward becoming someone new.

In The Night of the Ghost-Chaser, this meaning reflects Dante’s greatest battle. Before he can face monsters lurking in the darkness, he must confront the ghosts of his own past.

Inspired by the classic horror films of the 1930s–1950s—mummies, monsters, and the unforgettable creatures of vintage cinema—this collectible card reimagines Death through the world of lucha libre, horror, and action.

This is the second released card in the Ghost-Chaser Tarot, a collectible series inspired by the mythology of The Night of the Ghost-Chaser.
