ONE WHOLE YEAR. ๐
Iโve tried to figure out what I wanted to say for this post, and honestly, I donโt know if Iโll ever be able to put into words what River City Optical means to me.
One year ago today, on September 6, 2025, I opened these doors for the very first time.
I remember wondering what the next year would look like. Would people come? Would they trust me? Could I actually make this work?
Opening a business is scary. You can make the plans, run the numbers and prepare as much as possible, but eventually you have to take the leap and hope all the hard work, sacrifice and faith youโve put into it will be enough.
And I took the leap.
Somewhere along the way, River City Optical became such a huge piece of my heart. This little shop has challenged me, stretched me, humbled me and given me some of the most rewarding moments of my life.
But the part that means the most is that YOU trusted me.
You walked through my doors. You came back. You brought your families. You sent your friends. You left reviews, shared my posts, celebrated my wins and told people about River City Optical.
Because of you, something that started as a dream has become a real, growing business that I get to walk into every morning and call my own.
My boys get to grow up watching their mom build something she believes in. My family and friends have stood beside me through every high, stressful day, crazy idea and celebration. And this community has supported me in ways I never could have expected.
In less than a year, you even helped this little optical receive THREE awards. ๐ฑ But as proud as I am of those accomplishments, what Iโll remember most about this first year is the people.
There is so much of me inside these four walls, and I donโt take a single bit of this for granted.
Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for trusting me. And thank you for supporting my family, my dream and this little optical that means more to me than I could ever explain.
One whole year. We made it.
Happy 1st Birthday, River City Optical. ๐๐
