Donations are accepted ONLY during OPEN SHOP hours
Donations are seasonal: currently taking summer clothing, summer items, housewares, etc.
No winter. No holiday items at all.

Please, review your donations & remove winter items, stained, torn, nonworking items or any holiday at all. We do not do repairs of any kind.

Our Shop is still undergoing some construction, so our racks are a bit closer together than they will be when the work is done!

Hoping the weather forecasted for our county tomorrow, Wednesday, will be milder than predicted because we have items to offer starting at noon!

However, if the forecasters are correct & the late afternoon is risky, the shop may have to close early. 😞 Fingers crossed !

PLEASE, NOTE THAT POSTS FROM THE THRIFT SHOP USUALLY INCLUDE A STATEMENT (AS THIS ONE DOES) THAT THERE ARE LIMITS. We do not have the ability to answer every question that people have - as noted, no questions about availability, cost, size, color, etc will be answered. And yet, today’s post has brought them to us. We are happy to do displays & share them with our followers in the hope that you will COME TO THE SHOP to see the items we have. We don’t have a FB marketplace kind of business going!
The Thrift Shop survives through the hard work of a very small group of VOLUNTEERS. Besides the 14hours the shop is open, more hours are spent sorting through donations, arranging items, tagging items, doing displays, cleaning, driving all the items that can’t be used to places offsite, even to Champaign-Urbana.
The blanket answer to “how much is this?” Is:
inexpensive, cheap, ridiculously cheap, lower than you think, less than most other places, dirt cheap, RUKM cheap, is-that-all kind of cheap!
If you come with 1 particular item in mind & it has been sold, take the time to look around, you might be surprised!
Keep in mind, the goal is fundraising for the Humane Society operation. Participating in reusing items benefits the community, too!

Your interest is appreciated, but once again, QUESTIONS REGARDING INDIVIDUAL ITEMS CANNOT BE ANSWERED.

Lovely donations of housewares & ladies clothing!
Still could use more SUMMER clothing - sleeveless, short sleeved, swimsuits, sandals, etc.

When you come visit, check out the new message board to the left of our entrance. Shop hours & info are there. Updates will be provided!

Review of pricing: Most of the shop’s merchandise is $1 per item! BUT, there are a few exceptions:
1. The “Bag Sale” that customers know well means that a grocery-sized paper sack of CLOTHES from the general area costs $5. That bag could hold 5 items or 25 items & the price will be $5! This is clothes only, not shoes, purses, jewelry, household items, etc. The paper sack is provided by us & the staff does the packing at checkout.
2. There are items individually priced and noted by PRICE TAGS. There is a new section “THE ALCOVE” which holds special items that are exceptional & priced at $5 or more. Designer clothes, high end athletic wear, office wear, evening wear, gowns, etc. Currently, there are several brand new gorgeous floor length gowns that are priced at $10-20, but would retail for much, much more.
3. Glass enclosed cabinet by the register holds special items such as designer purses, name brand shoes/boots, etc.

Our men’s section is growing. Currently, there are a wide variety of sizes of summer shorts & long pants up to size 52 waist. Men’s shirts sell quickly & new ones are always welcome!

100% of the sales go directly to the Humane Society!
Monetary donations are always welcome 😉
The Shop is in need of volunteers; ask for an application!
