The McIntosh Art Association was founded on October 5, 2000 by four people who enjoyed painting together. The current membership stands at 265 and is constantly growing. Our stated purpose is to promote the arts in McIntosh County with an emphasis on the visual arts. To that end we sponsor exhibits, sales, trips, educational classes, maintain an art center and museum, and lend support to other creative endeavors in this area. McIntosh Art Association

The ANNUAL HOFWYL BROADFIELD PLANTATION ALBERT FENDIG PLEIN AIR ART EVENT

Traveling Show

Reception: Friday, June 12, 5 - 7 pm

Once again, adventuresome artists from near and far gathered on the grounds of Hofwyl Broadfield Plantation in early spring to put vision to canvas, board, or paper. The results speak for themselves (as seen below with 'Ophelia's Garage' by Janis Hogan) in this traveling multi-media exhibit showcasing many views and artistic interpretations of the old rice plantation structures that have withstood the test of time.
