Free movies and popcorn in Downtown Davis! 🍿🎬
The Davis Odd Fellows Classic Film Fest is back for three Sundays in November, and this time they're bringing some classic laughs to the big screen!
This year's theme is **Screwball Comedies of the 1960s and 1970s**, featuring three films full of memorable characters, ridiculous situations, and plenty of laughs.
Here's what's showing:
🎬 **November 1: One, Two, Three (1961)**
Directed by Billy Wilder and starring James Cagney, this fast paced political comedy kicks off the series.
🎬 **November 8: The Producers (1968)**
Mel Brooks' classic comedy starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder follows an accountant and a theater producer who come up with a wild scheme to get rich.
🎬 **November 15: What's Up, Doc? (1972)**
Starring Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal, this comedy takes place in San Francisco, where a mix up involving identical bags leads to complete chaos.
And there's more to enjoy than the movies themselves! Davis Enterprise film critic Derrick Bang will share fun facts, behind the scenes details, and things to watch for before each screening, followed by a Q&A afterward.
According to Bazooka will also perform before each movie!
**Best of all, admission and popcorn are FREE!** Donations are appreciated to help support the film series, and the bar will be open for b**r, w**e, and soft drinks.
