STORY TIME! So a few days ago, Savage Stitcher - Angie announced a preorder for a pair of shirts that I helped her design. One of them reads “At least I’m not a man.” Hilarious, right? Innocuous enough, too. Or so I thought.
It has come to our attention that some local man got his feelings hurt by these cute little crop tops. He took to Reddit to anonymously flame us. Repeatedly calling us out for our “mysandry” and told us to “do better.” He eventually deleted the image and part of the post because the overwhelming majority of Redditors were dragging and down-voting him (haha).
He seems to know us, too, or maybe he creeps a little too hard, because he mentions that we have husbands and sons. (Excuse me as my skin crawls all the way off).

Usually, I let this s**t go. I don’t want to be part of the division and hate that he has accused us “liberal feminists” of spreading. But as one commenter said “as a man—who cares?..I know they’re not talking about me…I view it as an attack on the system more than attack on men.” And that’s exactly it. I love portions of the man population! But this design acknowledges the rest of them who have harmed me and my sisters, and inhibited our lives through malignant patriarchy. The very reason he feels comfy enough to call us out by name while shielding his own identity.
If a person declaring this sentiment in t-shirt form (be they lady or gentlethem), seems so “hateful” it warrants you to write an entire Reddit thread, you need to go. Touch. Some. Grass. 👏
