Happy Fathers Day to Dads, Pops, Pas, Step-Dads, Granddads, and everyone who serves a parental role. We have a great selection of garden tools, houseplants, and other items that would make great gifts. My Master Gardener Dad really liked his soil knife which has a twine cutter, depth markers, serrated edge, sharp edge, and even a bit of a scoop for moving dirt--it's an excellent tool from A.M.Leonard, a quality tool maker. It's golden-the 50th annual Mayfair Plant Sale is just days away. Open to Wegerzyn Foundation members on Thursday April 30th from 4-6 pm, we open the public Friday, May 1st 11 am-3 pm, Saturday, May 2nd from 9 am- 3 pm and Sunday May 2nd from 11 am-3 pm. Come as early as you can, when we sell out of a particular plant, they are gone. We will have thousands of flowers, vegetables, and herbs for sale, grown in area greenhouses and our members local gardens. All proceeds benefit Wegerzyn Gardens Metropark.

Given the pleasant winds this weekend, come today to see our great selection of glass or metal wind chimes and other garden decorations. I'm at the Wegerzyn Gift and Garden Shop at the Second Street Public Market today from 11-3.
