Hey guys......we have plenty of Brazilian Daterra Farms Natural Processed Full Bloom here at The WD. Roasted to a delicious Medium Roast.

Cupping Notes: The ripe fruit aromatics and exotic flavors of stone fruits, blueberry and plum make for a succulent, juicy mouth feel reminiscent of a fine wine. Full bodied with a clean caramel-fruity finish that smoothly rolls over the palate.

An elegant and refined fully natural coffee begins its journey at the peak of the harvest when the cherries are filled with honey-like liquid. The beans start drying on the tree, then transferred in cherry to the patio, until the honey is almost dissolved. The drying is finished in the dryer to insure consistent moisture content and stabilization of the beans.

This amazing Brazilian from Daterra Farms is a tree dried 'Cerredo' natural.

This process means that cherries were
left on the trees for a longer time, allowing them to go through the full maturation process and dry while still attached to the branch.

This processing technique is only possible if the weather is very dry and stable during harvest - in fact, in many regions, allowing coffee to dry on tree could be a big problem: the excess moisture can develop fungus and other microorganisms.

Because of Cerrado’s unique traits, this process is possible - which is great, because it brings very positive attributes to the cup: tree-dried naturals usually show heavy body and extra-intense sweetness.

Michael Edward Ball

CPL Michael E. Ball served with 3rd Platoon, C Company, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry, 198th Infantry Brigade. On April 17, 1971, CPL Ball was with his platoon on a combat patrol near An Hoa Airfield in Quang Nam Province, RVN. In the evening, they were preparing to set up their overnight laager. Another platoon had bivouacked nearby and it was standard procedure to place out mechanical ambush devices around their night defensive positions. Some of the squad leaders in 3rd Platoon felt that there was not enough separation between their laager and the other platoon. However, 3rd Platoon’s new leader ignored their concerns and decided they would stay where they were. He then sent out CPL Ball and another trooper to set some ambushes up on a trail. As Ball and the other soldier moved down the trail, they triggered a mechanical ambush that had been place there by the other platoon. There was a large explosion followed by screams. A medic and another soldier rushed the eighty meters to them. Ball was still alive. The blast had severed him from the waist down. He looked up at the medic and said, “Help me doc. I’m hit bad.” He then went into shock and died shortly thereafter. The other soldier suffered severe injuries to his legs. Both were medivacked to the 23rd Medical Battalion at Hawk Hill. Our Full Bloom is a fine representation of the best that a 100% natural (dried-on-tree) coffee can be: a dense, syrupy mix of ripe stone fruits, blueberries and plum with a very long caramel finish. As an espresso, it’s just as creamy as it sounds. On drip methods, it’s a rich and fruity cup.

We roast weekly and have 1lb and 2lb bags available in a light-medium roast.

In the cup, our Brazilian Full Bloom is full bodied with low acidity and heavy sweetness. Raisins and vanilla dominate the aroma with milk chocolate in the aftertaste.

When it comes to WD roasted coffee fresher is better!

Right?

Well, yes and no.

For that perfect cuppa, whether it's a pourover, immersion or drip....we recommend waiting at least 5 days after the roast date on our packaging before brewing.

We also recommend not buying more than you will use in the next 30 days.

If you MUST use right away, it will surely be better than any store brand. But for that best experience, try to wait 5 days before brewing.

Remember to use the proper ratio and grind for your setup. We like a 1:16-1:17 ratio here at The WD. We also like a grind that gives us a 3-4 minute V60 brew or a 4-5 minute Chemex brew.

Experiment and find what you like. But definitely give us a try.

Your Wandering Dog team is back in action after taking a year off. We are doing things a bit differently this time.

We are not carried in any retail establishment. We only sell direct.

Packaging is simpler.

We are only carrying one single origin at a time, and still roasting it to a beautiful light-medium in small 1 kilo batches.

We only roast what we have orders for 1x weekly. No orders, no roasting. We may have a pound or two on hand if you check with us.

We now offer a full 1lb bag for $18, and a 2lb bag for $34.
We do offer a bulk discount for 6lbs and up. DM for that pricing.

We are trying to stay cashless. Uncle Sam loves to monitor money in/money out, and it's tougher to leave a paper trail with cash. We carry absolutely no cash. We accapt venmo, paypal, and cards.

Currently, we have a Brazilian Honey Processed coffee from Daterra Farms.

This Daterra is one of those subtle coffees that leaves you wanting more after you’ve finished each cup. As someone who has a sweet tooth, this coffee got pretty addictive. Grown in Brazil and left to dry naturally on its tree, this Brazilian coffee is an absolute show stopper. Getchasum!

Here at The WD, one of our favorite ways to brew coffee is with a Chemex. It's elegant, simple and clean up is easy, and perfect for our new honey processed Daterra Full Bloom coffee.

Start with a 1:16 coffee to water ratio and water just off boil at around 210°.

Be sure to bloom your coffee for 30 seconds to release the gasses.

Brewing should finish between 4-5 minutes. Adjust your grind if needed.
