Hi friends! 😊

I’m Sarah—aka the Happy Camper Quilter.

I’m also a Florida Sales Representative with Checker Distributors, working with quilt shops across the state. I’ve been in the sewing and quilting industry for over 20 years—teaching classes, managing shops, and helping quilters find the tools and products they love.

These days, I get to help shops stay stocked, discover new products, and keep things running smoothly (especially during the busy seasons we all know and love 😅).

If you’re a quilt shop in Florida, I’d love to connect!

Confession time.

To every rep I ever had… I am so sorry. 😅

I truly had no idea.

There should honestly be a guide somewhere titled “How to Be a Good Customer to Your Rep.” Because until you sit on this side of the cutting table, you don’t realize how it works.

Answering an email takes ten seconds.
“Now’s not a good time.”
“Try me next month.”
“We’re good — I’ll send my next order over.”

That’s it. That’s the whole thing.

Most people don’t realize reps are commission-only. We have to see shops and write orders to keep our jobs. And if we don’t stay connected, accounts flip back to house — which means we don’t get paid at all.

I loved my reps. I really did. It was nice to sit down, see what was new, talk about what was selling, and have a real human to call when something went sideways.

Now that I’m the one driving the miles and sending the emails, I see it differently.

We’re all just trying to keep our seams straight and our businesses running. A little kindness goes a long way.

And to my former reps — you were saints. I owe you coffee. 💜

Sometimes life takes you to unexpected places. I’m learning to slow down and soak them in. This morning it’s me, a cup of coffee, waves crashing, and a sunrise that looks like it was quilted by heaven itself. Feeling grateful. God is good. 💜☕🌊

📦✂️ My sewing room is officially in “Fabric Apocalypse Mode.”
I’m somewhere between overwhelmed, excited, and scared sh*tless… kind of like when you cut into your favorite fabric without a backup plan.

I keep telling myself it’s just “reorganizing,” but let’s be honest… I’m really just playing Tetris with Menards boxes, wondering if bubble wrap counts as batting.

This was just what I needed after a crappy day at work. I taught these as a class two years ago and just needed to get them bound. Mission accomplished. Now I just need to find the perfect spot to hang them.
