The Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory was founded In 1925 by two industrious women, Riddell Angell and Cora Phelps. The company's rich history began in the resort town of Mackinac Island, Michigan but at the start of WWII that shop was closed and the company moved to Daytona Beach, FL. With it's year round warm temperatures making chocolates in Florida is a challenge today so imagine what it was like before the invention of air conditioning. With passion, determination, and a commitment to quality MS. Phelps were able to overcome all obstacles to create a business that has become a tradition for many people. Today, still headquartered in Daytona Beach, Angell & Phelps is proud to carry on the traditions started back in 1925! We still use many of Riddle and Cora's time tested recipes in making our candies. We still hold on to the old-fashioned virtues of homemade quality and fast, friendly service. Our commitment to our customers is To never compromise quality and to produce the most flavorful chocolates available. In order to do this we use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients in all our products.
