Attention Snowmobilers: There are almost 450 miles of trail across the entirety of the Ottawa National Forest for snowmobile riding. In comparison, there are 5 cross country ski trails on the Ottawa.
Our staff that groom Bergland and Courtney Lake ski trails found the Courtney Lake trail today to have been torn up by a snowmobile since it was groomed last Thursday. The trail will now have to be fixed before it can be regroomed, taking time and resources away from other projects we have on the forest.
The Ottawa provides space for multiple recreation opportunities. Please be respectful of others on the forest and their recreation options.
