A long time ago, Dearborn had a mayor that was pro segregation. His campaign slogan was “Keep Dearborn Clean.” I’m sure most of you have heard, or can imagine what he meant by that. Would he have sat on the porch of our old storefront with a stranger that was different from him to discuss his favorite coffee shops and walk away as friends? This type of thing happened at our shop almost daily. If I had a 0 sales day, it was still a good day because odds are, two strangers were becoming friends just from stepping foot in the store. Although there is currently no storefront, this shop still does its best to build community with ALL of our neighbors. I have had this idea for a couple years now, and Dina Tawil helped bring it to life. It felt like the right time, don’t ya think? This shirt and coffee sleeve will be available starting September 5th at Black Box We will be popping up 10a-2p!
Keep Dearborn Kind.
