The 2025 IBS 600 YARD NATIONALS are in the books. The MSSA guys & girls put on a great match enjoyed by all!

I didn’t fair as well as I had hoped for, but not bad either. The old saying “you only get out of it what you put into it” still holds true! I had planned to tune the weekend prior to going but shop obligations got in the way. So I left out with two new barrels (that were shot for the first time 2 days before heading to Memphis) with only 50rds each on them.

I would like to thank Kauger Arms Bartlein Barrels, Inc NightforceUSA and Mike Ezell (tuners) for making solid equipment to give me confidence to leave home for a national match without tuned rifles!

Last but definitely not least, THANK YOU KAUGER ARMS for putting a great certificate on the prize table that I was fortunate to win! You guys rock!

Congratulations to Mr Bob Steelman & his grandson Thomas Steelman for two potential Freedom Benchrest 1000yd Tactical records today at Hawks Ridge!
Bob’s was a 1.919” / 50 2X and Thomas’s was 1.974”. Thomas backed it up with a 2.8” as well … all while shooting off a bipod & rear bag. Great shooting guys! Thanks for trusting me on chambering those hammers for you guys!

Congratulations to Robby Vick for a strong showing yesterday, at Piedmont’s # 5&6 600yd matches!
2 Gun Overall winner in both matches with a 1.829” 16 Target agg & a score of 789 for the day (only dropping 11 points on those 16 targets)!

I love getting pics of groups from friends & customers! Received these two yesterday from two different guys.

First was from a Freedom Benchrest Tactical class shooter … a 2.5” group at 1000 yards during testing, shot with a recently chambered 6GT barrel

Second was from a Pleasant Hill match shooter. 100 yard powder charge test. With a little seating depth tweak it should make some uniform small knots! Barrel is a freshly chambered 6.5x47 Lapua.
