🎶 THIS DAY IN MUSIC — AUGUST 29 🎶
👑 1958 — Michael Jackson is born. The future “King of Pop” was born in Gary, Indiana. From his early days with The Jackson 5 to Thriller, Bad and Dangerous, Jackson became one of the biggest-selling and most influential artists in music history.
🎸 1966 — The Beatles play their final paid concert. The Fab Four took the stage at Candlestick Park in San Francisco for what would become their last official ticketed concert. After years of Beatlemania, the band stepped away from touring and concentrated on the groundbreaking studio albums that followed.
🤘 1992 — Guns N’ Roses hit the stage at London’s Wembley Stadium. During the massive Use Your Illusion era, GN’R were one of the biggest hard-rock bands on the planet, packing stadiums around the world with songs like “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Paradise City” and “November Rain.”
🎵 From the King of Pop, to the Fab Four, to Guns N’ Roses — August 29 has some serious music history!
