It’s usually too windy for a fire on this ridge so I seized the moment. It was wonderful! Slowing down. Sunset. Worship. Prayer. Family. So much to be thankful for in this season of life despite the little bumps in the road. The moonlight on the trees and starry night sky. ♥️

The goats are so funny! Our oldest son was helping me build something yesterday and they were hanging out with us the whole time- standing under the chop saw while it was running and climbing all over our stacks of wood. They are just so curious and want to be wherever I am. As I was putting them back in the barn last night I spotted a weird thing on June’s head. She got too close to the coneflowers and ended up with one wedged between her horns. Well either that or she decided she’s a flower princess now🥰🤣💗

Well, my hand just isn’t feeling better so I went back to the dr yesterday and it turns out my thumb is fractured. Thank goodness it’s not displaced! Unfortunately I won’t be able to do my normal baking so my next market will be right before Thanksgiving at the Holiday on Hamill Market in Hixson TN on November 21. I really appreciate all the support! See you there!

Did you know we have a small Air B&B on the farm? It’s called Sanctuary Ridge Retreat and we have been hosting for almost a year now! Our little space is just perfect for a quiet couples getaway. I love hosting and making our guests feel welcome🥰 We are hoping to add a vintage airstream for families soon. Who wants to come camp in an airstream on the farm?

I had a pretty bad fall a couple of weeks ago just as I was going in to set up for the Bradley Square Mall market. Carrying a crate full of goodies, I didn't see the parking curb and it was not pretty. Busted both knees but I pushed through and did the market anyway. After I got home I realized that I was in a lot of pain. Thankfully nothing is broken but x rays showed a previous break that I never got treatment for. My hand feels broken but it's not. I'm trying to take it easy so I have limited the items for this week's menu. I am still baking and gardening like a maniac! So Don't forget to check out what's new this week!

What are the chances? I’m working on the electric fence around the garden and I ALWAYS check to make sure it’s off. I’ve been working g on it for about 30 minutes when I feel a shock in my hand and hear the popping of the fence. A big bug had created an arc, electrifying the fence while I am working on it! What in the world?! Do these things happen to anyone else, or just me?

Home sweet home from an amazing trip to see family in PA and the most beautiful hiking trails I’ve ever been on to see waterfalls in New York! Missed my babies so spent the afternoon letting them free range while I sat with them ♥️ Make plans to visit Watkins Glen in New York. Absolutely amazing!
