Hello !!

September 19th marks my sister’s Shawna Glasco first birthday in heaven. While this may not be typical community news, our family is reaching out to this community for something very close to our hearts.
When she passed in March, so many people lined the second-floor hallway of Decatur General Hospital for her Honor Walk. There were so many faces in that hall we didn’t know—nurses, staff, and compassionate strangers who stood in quiet solidarity and gave our family an overwhelming amount of grace and strength during our darkest hour. We have never forgotten the kindness of those unfamiliar faces.
To honor her on her birthday, I am creating a community tribute video, and it would mean the absolute world to our family if anyone who was there or who has held us in their thoughts would contribute.
How to be part of her birthday tribute:
* The Clip: Record a short video (under 60 seconds) where you light a candle, share a memory, a message, or simply a birthday wish for her in heaven, and then blow the candle out.
* Recording Tip: Please turn your phone horizontally (landscape mode) so the video clips stitch together smoothly.
* Submission Deadline: Please send your clip by Monday, September 14th.
