Today is Viking ship day at Dragonfly Books! Specifically, it marks the day each year where we attempt to move a wooden Viking ship out of the store basement, outside, through the front door and into the store display window. This year, Kera and Rachael completed the process in record time! Stop by the store to see the complete Nordic Fest window!

Shelf Life Book Club is this afternoon at 3:30 at the Landing Market!

💡Shelf Life Book Club is a casual meet up every second Wednesday of the month at The Landing Market where you can chat about whatever you’re currently reading and enjoy the company of other book lovers! No homework, no reading assignments, just fellow book pals yapping about their current reads! (So, basically it’s perfect 😉) We hope to see you there!

The Iowa Indie Bookshop Tour is here! 📚

We’ve already had both excited locals as well as readers from across Iowa stopping in to get their passports and stamps!

If you’re new to the Iowa Indie Bookshop Tour…here’s how it works! Come on by to Dragonfly Books (or any participating store) and we will get you set up with a ✨passport✨. Then when you visit any participating bookshop and purchase a book—you will receive a stamp in your passport! The more tour stops and stamps you receive the more chances you have to win prizes!

The tour kicked off on July 1st and runs until September 30th, which means you have plenty of time to plan your route and secure those passport stamps! If you would like more information on driving routes or the tour, then please visit www.iowaindiebookshoptour.com
