Hi friends… Lokee here. 🐾

Mom said we were making “one quick stop.”

I knew that was never going to happen .

Now I’m riding to work with:

…and I think there’s still room for another antique if
Mom tries really hard.

Honestly, I don’t know if I’m the Store Dog anymore…

I think I’m the Treasure Inspecting Manager. Soon Mom will probably forget to make me a spot to sit.

The good news? All these goodies are headed into the shop TODAY!

🎨 Imagine being over 120 years old… and still coloring.😄

Meet this incredible little survivor…

An original Rubens Crayola Artists’ Crayon box from 1903! The world’s first crayons!

Long before Crayola was tucked into every kid’s backpack, these crayons were marketed to artists, not classrooms. In fact, the box proudly claims they were as good as artists’ pastels and watercolors.

The portrait on the front is Peter Paul Rubens, the famous Flemish painter the crayons were named after.

Even cooler? This little box still has many of its original crayons inside! Considering most were colored down to tiny nubs (or lost under someone’s furniture over a century ago 😅), finding one this complete is a rare treat.

And here’s a fun fact…
The name Crayola comes from two French words meaning “oily chalk.” Bet you didn’t learn that in art class; someone tell the art teachers!

Another beautiful sunny day here in Montana; we are getting so spoiled!
