Would the Byron world be interested in glassing kits? Very similar to what Byron delivered back in the day. Cloth would be cut at 24" wide X 30' for the small glass kit (warbirds and STaggerwing, and Cessna kits, and 24" wide X 40' for the all foam models. Would include gloves, mixing cups, mixing syicks, spreaders, and resin. The cloth is 1.75 ounce and "S" glass as well. Great cloth. Pricing comes out to $175.00 for the small kit and $225.00 for the large kit.

Hello everyone. For those interested and have a Byron Staggerwing.
It has been a rough year for me health wise so that is the lack of post and movement on the Staggerwing. I have finally finished the electric retract modification. I will be posting information on the kits for anyone interested in the mod of your Staggerwing to electric retracts. The kits will work for both a kit or flying bird. The kits will include eveerything you need to convert a model over from pneumatic to electirc. All actuatots, control box, tailwheel, etc. I take Visa, MC, Discxover, and AMex, and Zelle. Sorry, no paypal; as the fees are just too much to deal with. Price is $675 plus $10 shipping.

And 10 minutes later the bottom of the left stab is glassed. Big point is to wrap the leading edge about 1/4” over with glass cloth. Doing the same from the other side gives your a basic 4 ounce layup on the leading edges to prevent hangar rash. Surface should be a dull sheen. If not you have not removed enough resin by squeeging with the playing cards.

Necessary items for glassing. Latex gloves, mixing sticks, plastic cup playing cards, MGS epoxy.

Left stab ready for glassing. Big key to sanding Byro-Foam. Always block sand and make sure there are no cut sand paper edges inline with your sanding motion. The filler used is mixed with a little water into a cake like batter. It sands away like butter once dry. Takes about 8 hours. End result is no damage to the guy Ian and a perfectly smooth surface for sanding.
