NEMA 1, 3R, 4 or 4X? The difference starts with the environment.
In our first episode, we EXPLAIN what these enclosure ratings mean and the protection each describes.
• Type 1: Indoor use and falling dirt.
• Type 3R: Rain, sleet and snow.
• Type 4: Adds protection against windblown dust, splashing water and hose-directed water.
• Type 4X: Adds corrosion resistance to Type 4 protection.

Wholesale Electric Supply Co. of Houston and Eaton had a great time sponsoring the 2026 ExxonMobil Supply Chain / United Way Charity Golf Tournament at Kingwood Country Club!

We enjoyed hosting the Putting Contest and Sponsor Tent, catching up with the ExxonMobil team, and supporting a great cause.

Our partnership with Hammond Power Solutions connects Wholesale Electric customers with experienced specialists who help match the right power solution to the application.

Hammond Power Solutions began by manufacturing consumer radios more than 100 years ago. The hardest part of building those radios was the transformer.

That expertise grew into dry type transformers and power quality solutions designed for increasingly complex electrical systems. Today, more than half of Hammond’s sales come from custom products, including equipment built for oil and gas, hazardous locations and other demanding applications.
