Sparrows are small birds, but they are full of energy! They love hopping around, looking for seeds 🌾 and tiny bugs 🐛 to eat. Their brown feathers and happy chirps make any yard feel lively and fun. 💚✨

The ☀️ may not be shining today, but it is certainly bright and cheery Hobby Farm here in Delafield!

As a local family owned business, we always want to support our fellow small business owners. This place is MAGICAL! You can walk the gardens and pick flowers, enjoy a coffee or an adult beverage, listen to fabulous music, and there is even a play area for the kiddos! What’s not to love ❤️ ?

🍂🍁Fall migration is in full swing and the orioles are sweeping through in large numbers! If you gave up and packed up the jelly and 🍊, take a few minutes and put them back out! The show is pretty spectacular!

🐝 are often a concern of many this time of year. I mix clove oil or ground clove in my jelly with decent results. It won’t keep them all away, but it it definitely helps!

**If using clove oil, use only in GLASS jelly jars, as the oil can erode the plastic**

💛🐦 Goldfinches bring bright color and cheerful energy to backyards across the country! American Goldfinches shine with bold yellow feathers in summer, while Lesser Goldfinches are slightly smaller and have rich yellow tones and a darker back. 🌻✨ Both love seeds, especially sunflower and Nyjer®️, and their sweet, bouncy songs are a sure sign of sunny days ahead. 🎶☀️

C’MON with the cuteness!! This little blue fledged today and still hasn’t quite figured out how to be a big bird yet. I startled him as I was mowing the lawn 🫤 and he jumped out of hiding as I passed by.

I never mess with nature, but for its safety, I placed it in the nearby juniper to help avoid predation until he figures out how to fly. I hope he makes it 💙
