We got another one here folks! This page, “The Deland Honey Co.“ is dedicated to hive products and all things honey related, all that honey comes from somewhere. Our affiliate company, “Bee Pimp Apiaries” (follow our page) offers bee keeping services, including honey bee removal services to the Volusia, Flagler, Seminole, and Orange County communities (not for free). This one was in the Wakiva area of Sanford. Chris had his first introduction to Honey bee removals 101, and he ROCKED IT. The bees were removed safely, the comb and brood were collected, and we found the queen alive and healthy. Want to learn more about bees? You won’t find out much here on this page, so follow us over at Bee Pimp Apiaries if you’re interested in the nitty gritty of ancient art, craft, and science of beekeeping. We love to share our knowledge.

Our signature lemonade can be made right at home, and it’s nothing complicated. Our standard recipe makes one (24oz) yeti cup.
First, fill your yeti cup half way with ice.
In a separate mixing vessel (a cocktail shaker or pre workout shaker bottle), mix 3 - 4 tablespoons of Deland Honey CO. honey into room temperature water - about 1 part honey to 4 parts water - and the juice of a whole lemon into the mixing vessel.

We love Brazilian pepper honey (and no, it’s not spicy) for lemonade.

Shake the water, lemon juice, and honey until the honey is dissolved - remember, ROOM TEMP water (the honey will solidify with cold water, making it very difficult to mix).

Pour over ice, and enjoy!

Garnish ideas.

Maybe, just maybe, a jigger or two of bourbon falls into your drink cup, and the world is right-as-rain.

Of course, you can purchase wild marigold (tagetes lemmonii) from our sister company, Kairos Outdoors, and garnish - something we’ve become known for at our markets.

Basil and/or crushed ginger is also a great addition, too!

For the wild, free spirits out there, you can also add a chili pepper

P.S. Here’s a little more behind how the method works.
It may seem like it is a high honey to water ratio in the shaker cup, but the room temperature water melts the ice in your yeti, making the perfect blend when you’re ready.
