As we come to the end of Banned Books Week, a reminder that every day, across the United States, another book is challenged. Protect your right to read! Tomorrow, October 10th is Day. Read a banned book, send a postcard to a politician, support your local community library. Do whatever you can to keep all books available to everyone who chooses to read them.

After an absolutely glorious fall weekend, we begin the week a little dark and gloomy. Stop in at I Love Books for some fun and joy with the softest plush from our favorite plush lines. New products arrived last week and I tried to highlight a few but for certain, the delight arrives when you pet and squeeze and choose a favorite to gift.

Banned Book Week is October 4th-10th and one week is not nearly enough time to remind everyone of all the books that were challenged or banned in the country in the past year. Please check out our display and think about your favorite book. Is it on "the list"? Yes, Sarah J. Maas, John Green, Dr. Seuss and Jodi Picoult. We all deserve the right to select what we want to read and no one has a right to monitor or limit that.

Guess who turns two today? I'm not making this difficult. It's Ollie! I did hope to bring him in to celebrate but we have a large number boxes of merchandise to receive and books to shelve and Ollie prefers we not pile books on him. So for the sake of the new John Grisham, Ollie is staying home to celebrate by chewing up all my cozy pillows which is his favorite thing to do. And stop in for the new John Grisham and so much more!

It's Fall and the leaves are changing quickly. Before you know it, the ghouls and skeletons will be trick-or-treating. Spend all of October with ghostly fun books, toys and puzzles and don't leave the wonderful plush pieces behind. Poor Charlie Brown. As usual, he got a rock. Stop in for great adult witchy books and horror, too.

Some of our newest arrivals including John Green's first adult fiction title Hollywood Ending (autographed copies currently in stock) and the new Amanda Peters The Birthing Tree (her first novel The Berry Pickers was excellent) and lots of fun book accessories are highlighted in Caitlin's new display. Visit our front window table for additional new hardcovers and paperbacks.
