The music reminds me of Flashdance and I gotta say this vase made me shout “what a feeeeelin’” when I took it out of the kiln!!! Which do you like better? BEFORE or AFTER glaze firing?

They are hard to photograph, but these are plates. Since I’m using molds instead of throwing the clay I can really show off the marbelling. I am so excited!!! Hoping to have them ready for holiday parties and gift giving!!!! My goal is for my pots to be a part of people breaking bread together all over Mena!

I make my own colored clay using mason stain and thinned out clay. I use tools sometimes to mix, especially when I’m making several colors. Today, I used my hands because I love the feel. I love how it changes in my hands; changes colors and textures right before my eyes.

I often keep the seconds, the ones that didn’t make the cut and it makes me forget how good I can be. I am going to drink from this one every morning to remind myself.
