Fall Fest is tomorrow!! We are adjusting the bookshop's hours to match the festival, so we'll be open from 9 AM to 5 PM. We hope to see y'all in the Village tomorrow!

This weather report is from our friends at Louisiana First News. Big thanks to Meteorologist Ashley Renee for this update! Come enjoy the morning at Denham Springs Antique Village Fallfest tomorrow, in the City of Denham Springs - Mayor & City Council, and we will watch weather hour by hour. Main rain is on the coast.

The start of the Fall Fest should be okay with a few showers around, but rain coverage will increase. Scattered showers will move in by the middle to end of the morning. And then a good bit of rain will be around southeast Louisiana in the afternoon.

Dolly gave us rhinestones, iconic songs, and free books for littles. On September 25th (that’s 9-2-5 and henceforth and forever DOLLY DAY), we’re celebrating all three. Let’s dress like Dolly, give like Dolly, and celebrate the life of a legend.
At Cavalier House Books our Dolly Day is all about Dolly Parton’s love of reading and her Imagination Library. Just $15 supports a year of reading for a child and every dollar from our Blind Date with a Book sales will go to the cause!
We’ll also be donating a portion of the day’s sales. Every book you buy helps share the love of reading!
While you’re here in the bookshop we’ll have stations set up for everyone to build friendship bracelets and write kind notes for strangers. We’re all about honoring Dolly’s legacy of kindness.

It’s not just CHB celebrating Dolly Day! There are shops throughout the Village going big, going pink, and bringing the sparkle!

Le Chien Brewing Co. has an assortment of pink beverages lined up for the day, and they will be hosting a food donation drive in partnership with Whole Heart Health. Bring a donation to the food bank, pick up a pink drink, and dance the night away to Dolly’s classic tunes.

BrushFire Art Studio has every sparkle you could want including brand new pottery items and exclusive silkscreens featuring Dolly Parton’s quotes and lyrics!

Mustard Seed Creamery has two Dolly Bedazzling Parties scheduled. Join them to turn a w**e bottle into something worthy of Dolly herself!

Come join Sarah and Victoria as they stroll through the store together, exploring new things and showing Victoria tall things she never gets to see (without inadvisable climbing)!🚶‍♂️

It’s always a good time to be a CHB bookclub member but this week it’s especially exciting!

We have an epic giveaway that will exclusively be up for grabs to our book clubbers.

Thanks to our friends @‌doubledaybooks & author @‌ariel.lawhon we have a copy of The Pirate Queen, an epic sticker, an actual compass, a themed hairtie, and a cool box (at least we think it’s a cool box)! So, if you’re one of our book club members, make sure you’re checking the Discord because you may be our lucky winner!

Curious about The Pirate Queen? It’s a sweeping historical adventure inspired by the life of Grace O’Malley, the legendary Irish folk heroine who risked everything to defend her people. Venture onto the high seas with the latest tale from the bestselling author of The Frozen River. We’ll have copies on our shelves tomorrow - September 8th!

And just in case you didn’t know, we host book clubs!
