Best of live at Towson State College 1979

During the time of this show, AC/DC had been together for six years. Bon Scott was their lead vocalist and was helping them create what would be some of their best stuff to date. Sadly he passed four months following this recording. Thankfully the Young Brothers who kept the guitar flares alive also managed to keep the band alive. They worked together to bring in the new vocalist, Brain Johnson.

For this performance they opened with Live Wire and numerous of their previous classics. Including a 12 minute version of Let There Be Rock. But the truly most iconic song from this show was Highway To Hell 😎🔥❤️‍🔥

During the summer of 1970, many rock bands graced the stage at Tanglewood. It was known to be a slightly scandalous endeavor for this classical venue to have rock bands at the time. However, it turned out to be one of the most successful seasons that this venue had ever had.

This record was recorded the last night of their tour. The Who had just released “Tommy” and was dominating the genre. However, I think my favorite song on this record is Pinball Wizard 😎. What is your favorite one from this show??
