I have been helping with Second Monday since 2016, almost 10 years steady with some times before helping. Over the last few years of working with my daddy before ge passed, he had several items he just loved. And he had many offers for and would not budge.

If you have been to our booth you know there is a bit to look at, and it can be overwhelming. We find items here or there that he had a put random things in. Items from his brother in Wisconsin, a card he wrote on, and this weekend a work card that stated he would handle work equipment . I found that card in a metal castiron bowl, should not have been there. But it was a wink/sign for me. I knew something would happen.

This weekend we sold 2 of his favorite items that have hung in the booth at second Monday. Everyone in our family loved these two things and always said they were theirs. Well we had an offer that we could not refuse, and with the ending of almost 10 years of hanging up and people asking me about them our Beloved Budweiser lights left our booth. I cried helping get them down and handing them to their new owners. I have gotten videos of them in their new forever home, and could not be more happier for some dear friends that bought them.
But this helps my mom out and that’s what it’s about now. He would have wanted this, I feel he gave a sign that something was going to happen that day and it was ok to let go of somethings.

So let the hunt begin again for some new items to hang up and share the love of vintage items.
