Apache Plume is a Central and West Texas native shrub that blooms simple, white flowers during spring and summer. Blooms follow with development of its pink, silky seedheads, which are thought to resemble the Apache headdress. These plants grow in full to partial sun and various soil types. They grow 3-6’ H x 3-6‘ W and can slowly spread by rhizomes and seeds. Plant this native beauty as a specimen, for hedging, or erosion control. The bees, butterflies, and songbirds will thank you!

Purple Love Grass, Eragrostis spectabilis, is filling out! 🌾 This nursery-grown species is native to North Central, East, and South Texas. It prefers full to partial sun and well-draining soil types. Purple Love Grass grows 1-2’ H x 1-2’ W and is known for its high-heat tolerance. Plant this species instead of Pink Muhly if you’re planting in drier areas, or needing smaller dimensions.

This is officially the tallest Pink Gaura we’ve ever seen! This plant is measured at 9’ 8” H! It’s been staked, unfertilized, and in ground for nearly 3 years. The hummingbirds should have no problem seeing this one.
