Who is Pusheen? 🐾

Pusheen first appeared online in 2010 in a comic series created by Claire Belton and Andrew Duff—and quickly became a fan favorite!

She was inspired by Claire’s real-life cat, and her name comes from the Irish word puisín, meaning “kitten.”

Now you know! 🩶

And if you didn’t already know, Denton Florist proudly carries Pusheen plushies! Stop by and adopt a Pusheen of your very own.

Our roots run deep! Denton Florist began as Selby Flowers, dating back to the 1930s. The Selby family transitioned from truck farming to full-time floral work, operating a nursery where The Greenhouse Restaurant & Bar now stands.

In the 1960’s the Selby family sold their business, and the new owners changed the name to Denton Florist.

As a family-owned business, we are honored to STILL serve people who have been customers since the Selby days! What an honor to be the ORIGINAL Denton Florist.

This year, 9/11 felt more optimistic and a little less heavy than usual. We helped people celebrate birthdays, milestone events, a wedding, and so many joyful moments.

We aren’t forgetting, but maybe we are healing. ❤️‍🩹

Our store may be closed on weekends, but our team is still hard at work! We just wrapped up an early-morning customer service training session.

We love creating beautiful flower arrangements—but we love taking care of our customers even more!

Providing exceptional service is our number one priority, which is why we’re always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and improve.
