I’m beginning to realize that even though so many of the candles I’ve created were inspired by special aviation moments, I’ve rarely, if ever, shared any of those memories with all of you. So many of my candle names mean so much to me and only a tiny handful of people know why — Ridiculous!

C-130s (well, and my dad) are *the* reason I fell in love with airplanes, aviation, & flying. Where I grew up, we lived less than two miles from a small regional airport that was also a joint reserve air base. I got to spend my childhood watching these loud, low flying monstrosities fly over our house doing touch-&-go after touch-&-go. We watched them from observation decks and even from the hood of my dad’s suburban parked on the shoulder right below final. To this day, I can immediately recognize the sound of one flying above.

I could ramble on forever about those memories and how much I cherish them, but if you’re still reading this caption then I can almost guarantee you already get it.
