Today I turned out the lights and locked the doors to this space for the very last time.
As I stood here looking at empty walls instead of shelves filled with pottery, leather goods, and all the beautiful things, I realized what truly filled this space was all of you.

Thank you to every single person who walked through these doors. Thank you for your support, your encouragement, your friendship, your laughter, and for believing in this my dream.
These past few weeks, so many of you have shared what Mojave + Tejon meant to you and to this community. Hearing your stories has been one of the greatest gifts I could have received.

Creating a place where people felt welcome, inspired, connected, and at home was exactly what I had hoped for.

Thank you to everyone who listened while I wrestled with what came next. I know many of you probably wanted to make a quick purchase and escape while I processed my life out loud... 😂 but instead, you stayed. You offered ideas, encouragement, wisdom, introductions, and kindness. I will never forget that generosity.
I truly hope our paths cross again very soon.

You are wonderful people, and I feel incredibly blessed to have earned your loyalty and support over these past six years!!!!!

I’m going to take a little time to breathe, travel, rest, and create some space before deciding what’s next. Uncertainty isn’t exactly my comfort zone, but I’m choosing to lean into it and see where this next chapter leads.
The M+T website will remain open for now, I’ll be popping up around town, and if you’re ever looking for a special gift—or something beautiful for yourself—please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to help if I can.

More than six years ago, when I had just signed the lease for Mojave + Tejon, this was the first IG photo I shared. I saw these words on a garage while on a road trip. At the time, these words were a reminder to myself to trust my instincts, follow this dream, and surround myself with people who would encourage me all along the way.

I could never have imagined how those words would come true in ways far beyond my expectations!!!

This little shop became so much more than a boutique to me. It became a place where friendships were formed, artists were celebrated, laughs were shared, and I found a beautiful community of people bringing their light and encouraging me everyday!!

As I prepare to close the doors here in Sunnyside, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for every one of you ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for believing in my dream, supporting small business and artisans, and for making Mojave + Tejon everything I hoped it could be - and SO much more! I cherish every memory, every moment with you!

I’m not quite sure where the next chapter of this journey will lead, but I know it won’t be the end of this community. I’ll be popping up at The Bread Bar’s Leaf Peeping Kickoff on September 12th. I hope it’s the first of many opportunities to see you again and catch up. If you know of any wonderful pop-up markets, special events, or places where M+T should be, I’d love to hear your ideas. I have a feeling this next chapter is going to be shaped by this incredible community like the first chapter was!

We’re inviting our youngest artists to the shop for a sweet Easter tradition!!

Beginning this Sunday, little ones can stop by to pick up a complimentary egg template to take home, color in the template, and bring it back to us. Each piece of art will become part of a growing collection of artwork displayed in our front window - our own small celebration of Spring, creativity, and community.

Each participating child will be entered to receive a special Easter surprise. We’ll have a little something thoughtful for the lucky mom as well. A winner will be randomly selected on Waster Sunday.
