Our Fantasy Cartography Craft-A-Long is BACK for another round, and we’re ready to make some magic! 🏰🌿

Over the course of five weeks, you’ll dream up an entirely original fantasy world and bring it to life through the art of mapmaking. Think winding rivers, mysterious forests, mountain ranges, hidden kingdoms, and maybe a dragon or two. 🐉

No artistic experience required! Just a little imagination and a willingness to get lost in a world of your own making.

Our 2nd Annual Community Harvest Fall Food Drive is BACK, and this year we’re teaming up with The Birdseed Collective again to help feed 200 local families this Thanksgiving!

We’re collecting specific Thanksgiving staples to help fill 200 holiday tables, and we need our Makeshift community to show up BIG!

We wrapped up our first cartography stitch-a-long and we couldn’t be prouder of the maps everyone created! We’re kicking off the next Fantasy Cartography Stitch-A-Long 5-Week Custom Map Making Experience on November 5.

We’ll walk you through every step, and there may even be dressing up, and sing-alongs 😉

If you’ve noticed I’ve been a little quieter around here lately, there’s a reason for that. I haven’t been showing up on social media quite like I normally do, and honestly, it’s because I’ve been having a hard time showing up for myself.

I’ve always believed in being transparent about what it’s really like to build a business. Not just the exciting milestones, the sold-out workshops, and the moments worth celebrating, but the messy, uncomfortable, sometimes really fu***ng hard parts, too.

The last few months have been a lot. And while I haven’t quite felt like myself, I’ve been reminded of something really important.

The community we’ve built at Makeshift isn’t just something I get to create for other people. It’s something I get to be a part of, too.

So I wrote you a letter. By hand, because sometimes the things that matter most deserve a little extra intention. (And also 🖕 AI lol)

Thank you for showing up for me, for caring about the person behind the business, and for reminding me that I don’t have to have it all figured out to be worthy of that care.

I’m still figuring some things out. But I’m starting to feel like myself again.

And that feels really, really good. 💛
