It all began 35 years ago... I was about 5 and I would sit on the step waiting for the mail man, who almost always had a package for my Grandma. They would normally be some kind of Time Life series - cooking, gardening or something connected to history, it never mattered to me. It was Christmas day every day when the mail man came. My mother would punish me by making me read a book. What she didn'

t know is she was feeding an ever growing habit. They could be anything and everything I wanted and needed. They would take me to places I only dreamed of and taught me things no one in my family knew. No one understood my obsession but, I took pride in my growing collection of books, most of which I got from my Grandma. Fast forward to my late twenties when I stumble into my dream job - office administrator of a rare book store. It was only fitting and it felt like home. I learned enough about the book business to take a chance and start The Lonely Book Ju**ie. I favor vintage and antique book most of all, but I have never met a book I didn't like. The Lonely Book Ju**ie has been the real dream come true. Stocking my shop with the treasures I hunt and gather, to bring them to you, is heaven to me. Sharing the history of those no longer with us. Sharing the books they loved and the words that moved them. Nothing brings a smile to my face like a book (well there is my husband and my two girls, but not much else). I take real pleasure in sharing my finds with you and I am happy that your have joined me because it can be Lonely being a Book Ju**ie :)
