Grow Queen Transcending plant care into an art form.

Want to nail soil propagation?

The key is consistency.

The first step is to find a node/ growth point of leaf cutting (tip: cut at the stem of the plant itself not the leaves petiole).

Next, stick the stem and node at least 1-2” below the surface of the container and fill in with your growing medium of choice.
(Houseplant mix is what we used in video).

Finally, make sure to keep an eye on it! The key is well to keep the soil DAMP not soaked. (You may have to water multiple times a week if your soil drains out like ours).

Bonus points if you use a clear container, to REALLY see the growth and roots take off. 😉

Bonus tip: Start small, and build the roots up, don’t over stimulate.

“Cut your losses” makes it feel like you only cut it out when you lose. ✂️🌱 But with Grow Queen sometimes, a cut is about making room for whats next.

This albo had way outgrown its moss pole, so it was time for a chop and prop. A little shorter now, with the potential to become more plants and shareable with our community as those cuttings take root.

But the cut is only the beginning. Roots need time to develop, new buds need time to wake up, and neither works on our schedule.

Starting your own props? Add Grow Queen Sea Kelp to your propagation routine for a little extra support as your cuttings get established. 🌊🌱

At Grow Queen, we believe in giving growth the care and patience it deserves. Even when the next chapter starts with a pair of shears. 💚

September is here, and we’re keeping the fall cozy and the plants green. 🍂🌿

As the days get shorter, take a moment to notice what’s changing in your little jungle. Light shifts, soil may stay moist longer, and growth can slow. Check before you water, keep leaves clean, and let your plants set the pace.

At Grow Queen, we believe good care starts with paying attention. Healthy soil, thoughtful care, and a little room to grow belong in every season. 💚

What’s growing with you this September?

Why should you grow green with Grow Queen? 🌱👑

Because healthy plants shouldn’t come at the expense of a healthy planet. Our plant care system uses organic-based ingredients, beneficial microbes, sustainable materials, and peat-free, perlite-free soils to support life from the roots up.

Stronger roots. Healthier growth. Less waste. Plant care that works with nature, not against it.

Want more variegation?
Focus on these three things:

1 Keep growing conditions stable
2 Perfect the lighting
3 Prune and propagate carefully

Most true variegation comes from a genetic mutation that limits chlorophyll in certain parts of the plant. It can occur naturally, but because reduced chlorophyll puts plants at a survival disadvantage, strongly variegated plants are uncommon in the wild.

Some nurseries and growers may also use chlorophyll-inhibiting treatments to create temporary lighter or variegated-looking foliage. That appearance is chemically induced, not stable genetic variegation, and new growth may eventually return green.

Give the plant enough light to support both its green and variegated tissue. When pruning or propagating, select stems and growth points showing strong variegation while leaving enough green tissue for photosynthesis.

Finally, watch the nitrogen. Excessively high nitrogen can encourage vigorous, chlorophyll-rich green growth and may contribute to a plant producing greener leaves. Balanced nutrition, stable care and thoughtful pruning give you the best chance of maintaining that color. 🌿👑

Skip the guesswork and grow green with Grow Queen.

Our system fertilizes and nourishes down to the soil-less base, with 100% worm castings.

Take it a step further by boosting NPK values weekly with our liquid fertilizers,

and/or take it easy by feeding seasonally with our slow release dry food.

The choice is yours, but you don’t make it complicated.

Real plant parents know the struggle.

We’re not exaggerating when we tell you to stop overpotting your plants.

Not only does this overwhelm the system with too big of an environment change, you’re also directly asking the foliage to stop for a moment while the roots regain their footing.

Think about this the next time you’re repotting.
and thank us later.
