Pay-what-you-can yoga nidra comes this month on 8/23! Join us to be held, to be with others, to be with remembrance of our true Self.

Yoga nidra is a huge topic. Our nervous system is a huge topic. I can’t go into all the thought threads and nuances here, but i do hope to remind us: your nervous system benefits not just from restoration but especially from restoring together. We are built to share life, and when we remember that, there is something really special we come back to.

Would love to hold space for you Sunday, August 23. Save your spot through our website event page. Xxo, Stella

Chatting about fresh burdock root which you can find at some nearby natural foods stores or your own backyard. From skin clearing to fat digestion to “blood cleansing” this is a simple and grounding earthy medicine that we use as food in Korean dishes!

Soy braised with sesame oil, stir fries, soups, and teas make his a really nourishing root medicine.

I’m planning on creating a digital magazine about root medicine, benefits of black sesame, recipes, and the healing medicine of transition with rituals and tea recipes for the fall. Let me know if there’s any interest!

Herbs for relaxation and sleep are one of the top things people come in seeking, and today someone came in for tea to help their partner get to sleep while I was making our Goodnight Tea! So let’s talk a bit about this. . .

One thing that comes up with Goodnight Tea and other relaxation support blends is how to take it. We recommend giving the herbs time to start moving through your body, plus time to p*e before you sleep! And if being mindful of your bedtime, bringing slowness and awareness to your routine, preparing for sleep, and taking care of yourself are what shift for you- great! Sometimes the plants are doing the physical work, sometimes they cue us to do the work we need to do. Sometimes we need to put down the phone and have a quiet nighttime ritual, and the herbs will meet us there.

May we all feel supported into rest. Xxo, Stella

It’s amazing to see how confident and creative the youth can be when they find communities of safety and validation to be who they are. While I so wish I had this growing up, I’m so glad Asian Girls Ignite exists.

I had such a wonderful time teaching at the Denver Botanic Gardens doing what I love and interacting with everyone to create something special through herbs and tea leaf reading with Alex Alex Tran

They left me with such beautiful handwritten gifts and left a little something for you all too!

If you need an uplifting message, drop by the shop and grab a handwritten note from the students. They gave us a bowl of beautiful notes for the community. I’m not crying, you are.

The world has a lot of beauty, talent, and wonder in it. Thanks for sharing in it together 💚

I am grateful to have received a grant from National AAPI Mental Health Association (NAAPIMHA) so that we could offer free workshops to the Korean community in Colorado in an effort to provide activities that support mental health around identity and connection.

According to the research by The Colorado Lotus Project, among Korean Coloradans, 22% report significant mental health distress which is nearly double the state average.

If you have any a Korean heritage at all please join us for these FREE workshops in July and August, and in September we will have a Chuseok potluck where AAPI allies will also be welcome to celebrate an important Fall holiday.

July 25th, 10-1pm: Writing our identity stories and sharing through connection. We’ll be led by Irene Kim, a local Korean author.

August 15th 1-4PM: Korean Tea and Tea Making Social
Join us as we taste our way through a Korean teas and history and learn how to make some of our own Korean style teas. We’ll be joined by Sara, a Korean American adoptee who works on a farm in Korea as she makes her journey as a tea master.

September: TBA
Chuseok potluck

If you are down in the Lakewood area we are setting up at Belmar next to Target for a market today with artisanmarkets.co

We brought some of our in season Korean teas from the farms and have samples of our favorite herbal hydration. If the shop is a bit far for you this is a perfect place to pick up your favorite teas and chat with Heidi about Community Herbal Support.

Otherwise stop by the shop and say hi! I’ll be here until 4 today and Heidi will be at the market until 6!

Our favorite way to make herbal iced teas is in a French press or large jar with an infuser. Strain and refrigerate for up to 3-5 days!

Hydration as ritual is packed with vitamins, minerals and herbs to help hydrate your body and skin from the inside out. Cooking and hydrating hibiscus makes this the perfect hydrating tea throughout the summer.

Only available through August, every bag purchased invests in the thehydrationstationco and mutual aid projects through The Abolition Garden

New tea alert and this one helps fund local mutual aid projects!

We took your favorite herbal hydration and added hibiscus for a hydrating and nourishing tea that works from the inside out to visibly replenish nutrients to your skin.

I sat with standing_eggg from The Abolition Garden to create a perfect blend to help fund the thehydrationstationco to hydrate the community and fund other water projects.

When you support this “Hydration As Ritual” tea blend, the proceeds would go to The Abolition Garden and a local mutual aid project called The Hydration Station! The Abolition Garden is a BIPOC & women-led urban farm based in GES. They grow culturally relevant foods and herbal medicine at no-cost for their community as well as run a farming and cultural education youth program. The funds will support their organization and their hydration centered workshops they have coming up this summer, it will also support other water projects through The Hydration Station which aims to hydrate and take care of the community, locally and globally!

Limited availability through July and August. Orders can be shipped and picked up by July 8th and preorders are open now. Perfect way to celebrate July 4th by purchasing a product that’s beneficial for you and your neighbors in need.
