We spent many of our childhood weekends being toted around from garage sales and estate sales to barns and basements searching for things from the past that spoke to us. The scent of varnish and pine dust and the creak of old fir floors were familiar friends. As we grew older, what started out as a favorite pass-time soon turned into an obsession. We would set out in our van on the midwest backroads looking for treasure and as one store turned to two and the van became a moving truck we knew our unique shops had struck a chord with our fellow collectors.
