A mix of old and new, Porch Light offers everyday objects both useful and beautiful. We feature rustic furniture, handmade jewelry, glassware, ceramics, wool blankets and throws, stationery and books, perfumes, candles and all manner of curious and useful objects for your home. Born and raised in Iowa, we are the daughters of avid junkers and collectors. We spent many of our childhood weekends bei

ng toted around from garage sales and estate sales to barns and basements searching for things from the past that spoke to us. The scent of varnish and pine dust and the creak of old fir floors were familiar friends. As we grew older, what started out as a favorite pass-time soon turned into an obsession. We would set out in our van on the midwest backroads looking for treasure and as one store turned to two and the van became a moving truck we knew our unique shops had struck a chord with our fellow collectors. Although with the addition of newly made goods we have departed a bit from our original vision, at both shops you’ll find quality goods for everyday living. We are still drawn to products that are simple and classic in design, well-made, hand-crafted and will stand the test of time. We're Porch Light, a charming and unique home goods store located in Des Moines, Iowa. Our store is filled with items that will add character and warmth to any home with our carefully curated selection of locally-sourced goods, home decor, plants, and much more.
