Bargain Basket Thrift Shop A charity boutique specializing in gently used designer womens clothing and accessories. Open the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Bargain Basket has been a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Des Moines since 1974. Over the years it has grown from a one day rummage sale to a permanent store and has allowed the Junior League to re-invest more than one million dollars back into the community through our programs. All of the proceeds from the store support Junior League’s community programs. The store also donates clothing to area shelters and other charitable organizations. Bargain Basket secures quality donations from:
• Active and sustaining Junior League members
• Des Moines area businesses
• Individuals like you! Over the last 25 years the Bargain Basket has become a staple in the Des Moines community. There is no one face of a Bargain Basket customer. Loyal shoppers come from varied backgrounds and from all over the city and this continued support helps us build a better community. If you would like to drop off your items, here are the places you can drop them off at:

We will be open this coming Saturday the 12th from 9:00am-3:00pm, we look forward to seeing everyone who comes to shop!
If anyone has recently cleaned out their closet and is looking for a place to donate, we always are very pleased to take donations of lightly worm women's clothing!
Feel free to bring your items on Saturday, we will help unload and sort the items.
