This weekend, we'll welcome our favorite speech-language pathologists from DSM Therapy Neighborhood for a special storytime focusing on literacy, speech, and language.

Thes month's theme: Community Helpers. Sometimes, things seem scary and bleak. Who's around? Who can we count on?

As Mr. Rogers would say, we look for the helpers, and that's what this trio will focus on tomorrow, Saturday September 12, at 11:30AM - how those in a community help one another.

The Little Book booksellers are leaning in to spooky season with their weekend reads.

Bee managed to snag an advance copy of "Said The Dead" by Doireann Ní Ghríofa, one of her most anticipated of the year.

KB is diving into "Coffin Moon" By Keith Rosson, a gritty horror about a man named Duane who gets mixed up with a centuries- old vampire.

Believe it or not, despite the 90° weather today, fall is creeping up on us.

The G**s & Faes Book Club is a fantasy, sci-fi, and horror book club focusing on q***r characters, stories, & voices. Our September selection is "Monstrilio" by Gerardo Sámano Córdova. 🌈

The Hopeless Romantics Book Club is a romance book club with an emphasis on diverse characters and stories, as well as romance sub-genres. This month's pick is "Soul Searching" by Lyla Sage 💋

The Boys Do Cry Book Club will explore men’s emotional themes, sexuality, dating, & titles that challenge traditional masculine norms. This month's pick us "Spawning Season" by Jared Osmundson. ✨

The Bewitched Book Club explores the spiritual, the supernatural, and everything in between. This month's selection is "Bat Eaters and Other Names for Cora Zeng" by Kylie Lee Baker 🖤

Book Club attendees are welcome to bring food and non-alcoholic drinks along for the meetings, and snacks and beverages will be available for purchase as well.

Our booksellers are exploring two very different works of fiction this weekend!

KB is reading "Books, Iced Coffee, & a Side of Dragons" by Amanda Lovelace & Raquel Travé, an adult graphic novel full of sapphic romance, whimsy, and - of course - dragons!

Bee is reading "Back For Blood: Never Whistle at Night Part II", the highly anticipated follow-up to the first Indigenous short horror story collection, Never Whistle at Night, also edited by Shane Hawk and Theodore C. Van Alst Jr. (Using her Libro.fm Audiobooks subscription, of course!)

Does anyone local ever have need of packing paper on a regular basis? We get small orders of books in almost daily, and almost every box has packing paper inside. We save small amounts for our own shipping needs, but the rest goes into the recycling bin. Let us know if you'd like us to set some aside for you, any time! (Boxes are up for grabs, as well!)
